Chicken
Biryani
Serves
two as a complete meal, or four as an entrée.
Ingredients:
1
package Eastern Essence® Biryani
½-1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken
thighs (or breast), diced
1 large onion, diced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cups water
1 large tomato, chopped
2 tablespoons butter or ghee
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¼ - ½ bunch chopped cilantro
Directions:
Stirring
occasionally, sautee onion in olive oil
in a 2-3 quart pot on medium high heat until
golden brown. Add chicken, stirring constantly
for about 1 minute. Reduce heat and cover
for 10 minutes until chicken is almost cooked.
Add 1 package Eastern Essence® Biryani
and 2 cups water. Add chopped tomato. Stir
gently until mixed. Cover and simmer 10-15
minutes until water is absorbed. Do not
stir during this time. Add butter or ghee
and lemon juice and stir gently. Sprinkle
cilantro on top, serve and enjoy!
